Donald Trump: The Elephant In The Room
Today’s republicans seem to be making a mockery of the government, but there is an even larger joke this campaign season: Donald Trump. He is a stain on the legacy of the great republican candidates that have been in nomination. Donald Trump shouldn’t be elected into office because he has zero political experience, he is extremely hateful, and he has yet to provide well formed campaign ideas.
Donald Trump has never been elected into any office, and he has no political experience. Without any political experience, how does Trump expect to run this country? A popular argument against this statement is that Trump runs a multimillion dollar company. While he may run this company, it isn’t ran very well. He has “run” his company into the ground and filed for bankruptcy not once, not twice, but four times. He would absolutely demolish America’s economy. There have only been a few presidents with little political experience but none with absolutely zero time spent in politics.
Not only is Trump naive in politics, but he is also avidly hateful. Trump said of a black employee, “I think the guy is lazy, and it’s probably not his fault because laziness is a trait in blacks. It really is, I believe that. It’s not anything they can control” (Newton par. 1). This is only one example of his hatefulness. He is also consistent with his demeaning comments about women, sexualizing and objectifying them: "You know, it doesn't really matter what they write as long as you've got a young and beautiful piece of ass" (Cohen par. 12). If he can’t control what comes out of his mouth, how are Americans supposed to believe that he will be able to control our foreign grievances? He won’t be able to control the foreign affairs of America because he can’t even control himself. Trump is not only hateful, but also is not capable of forming wise campaign ideas.
In addition to Trump’s hatefulness, he doesn’t exemplify any intelligently formed ideas for the foundation of his ludicrous candidacy. A widely known plan proposed by Trump is to build a wall between Mexico and the United States, segregating the Mexicans from the Americans. He also states that Mexico will be paying for the construction. Is it rational that white man truly believes that he will be making the leader of Mexico, who has previously announced that he indeed will not be paying for it, purchase a wall made to segregate the countries? Absolutely not. Another ridiculous campaign idea is that he plans to cut the Environmental Protection Agency, whose mission is to protect human health and the environment. He claims the EPA is ridiculous and unneeded and that Americans are wasting their tax dollars. Has Trump shared any facts as to why the EPA is such a detriment? No he has not. Unfortunately, Donald Trump has no clue what he is doing with this great country.
Donald Trump will ruin America, and the American people are going to let him. He is a disgusting and no longer is he a funny joke. Trump has become a political monster with what he believes is best for America; it isn’t what is best at all. The upcoming election is a terrifying one that will affect the lives of Americans ferociously for the next four years. Americans need to stand together and keep Trump out of presidency because he is naive, inexperienced, hateful, and doesn’t deserve the right to make a mockery out of the land of the free.
